w/respect – nurturing respectful relationships, is a partnership lead by drummond street, queerspace with Transgender Victoria, Thorne Harbour Health and Switchboard. In collaboration with Domestic Violence Victoria, we are holding an inaugural forum of our new LGBTIQ Integrated Family Violence Service at the Convention Exhibition Centre in Melbourne.

This interactive day is especially for managers, practitioners, policy analysts and community groups working in the family violence and intersecting sectors . Braiding Knowledge aims to build on existing knowledge in identifying and responding to LGBTIQ intimate partner and family violence, and to introduce the new service, w/respect, to the sector.

Please register to secure your place and to join the afternoon discussions in different breakout sessions.

Each person who attends needs a ticket. In recognition of the greater financial burden on some individuals and organisations of purchasing a ticket, we are providing a FREE ticketed option for LGBTIQ community organisations (no paid staff), for Aboriginal community organisations, for rural and regional attendees (ie 150km from Melbourne), or others to whom this applies. To access the free ticketed option, please contact us at qsgroups@ds.org.au for information about the process.
