Located at 200 Hoddle Street in Abbotsford, Equinox is Australia’s first and only peer-led TGD health service. We engage with our Trans and Gender Diverse Advisory Group to identify service provision gaps and to understand community requirements so that we can provide the highest standard of care possible. We employ members of the TGD community where possible and we understand that there is a need for a safe, friendly, trans-affirmative space where all aspects of your general health care can be attended to. Our service provision is based upon respecting all members of the TGD community and providing quality General Practice services in a friendly, trans-affirmative environment.
Trans and Gender Diverse Health
Equinox Gender Diverse Health Service offers a gender affirming bulk billing General Practice and a low cost counselling service to the trans and gender diverse (TGD) community.
Gender Affirming Trans and Gender Diverse Health Care
We see a need for a gender affirming, safe, inclusive space for TGD to people to access quality general practitioner and wellbeing services. We want to create this space with the community, to help reduce the barriers to the health and wellbeing that TGD people deserve.
In fact, we're committed to helping to create safe access to healthcare for transgender and gender diverse people across Victoria. Be sure to check out our Trans and Gender Diverse in Community Health (TGDiCH) Training Project - a TGD-led, evidence-based, state-wide training project by and for health professionals.

EQUINOX IS AGPAL ACCREDITED – WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
Being accredited means that our general practice is committed to a comprehensive program which involves:
- Engaging our whole practice team to review our practice’s systems and processes
- Opening our practice doors to allow a team of independent surveyors to assess how our practice operates
- Assessment of our practice, and achievement of the nationally recognised Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) Standards for general practices, that focus on health care quality and patient safety.
As a member of the community you may be surprised to learn that general practice accreditation is a voluntary process – which means not all practices undergo an independent on-site assessment on a regular basis.
Achievement of AGPAL accreditation reassures you that our doctors and practice team are committed to providing you with high quality health care in a safe environment.
