A free workshop to assist healthcare workers in community-based settings to develop greater skills and knowledge in working with trans and gender diverse (TGD) people.

Thorne Harbour Health is delivering the TGD Affirmative Practice workshop for healthcare workers in community based settings. This training will assist you to develop greater knowledge, skills and best practice in working with transgender & gender diverse people accessing your service.
Tickets are free but there are limited spaces so we encourage you to reserve a spot. The 2-hour workshop is developed and delivered by health care professionals, for healthcare professionals and will support you to:
- Build an understanding of TGD health and wellbeing
- Define key TGD terms & concepts
- Understand the 4 spheres of affirmation: personal, social, medical & legal
- Explore how to apply TGD affirmative practice in your practice
