TGD Health Community of Practice

This ground-breaking initiative gives practitioners a unique opportunity to learn from experts in the field at no financial cost, in order to improve health outcomes and access for the Trans and Gender Diverse population across the state.

The community of practice uses the ProjectECHO model, which builds healthcare capacity through guided case-based learning. Each session will give participants access to a panel of experts in the field including GPs, specialists, mental health professionals and allied health.

The Project ECHO model was designed specifically to overcome health disparities between those in rural and metropolitan settings, and we strongly encourage any regional & rural practitioners to join.

How is the session delivered?

Delivered entirely via Zoom. Sessions start with a 20 minute presentation and Q&A from an expert panel member. Each presentation is followed by a de-identified case presentation from one participant for the panel and participants to discuss (cases submitted beforehand).
