"Hi I’m Simon Ruth from Thorne Harbour Health.
As 2020 comes to a close, I want to wish you all a happy, safe, and enjoyable holiday season.
It’s been a year like no other, but we accomplished something quite remarkable -through collective action, we saw Victoria overcome
a second wave and virtually eliminate COVID-19.
We’re now be able to enjoy the holiday period and the summer ahead in a COVIDsafe way.
In fact, after months of encouraging our communities to avoid casual sex, you can go back to enjoying life again and just try your best with contact tracing.
If you’ve taken a break from PrEP – get tested and get your script filled so you can continue to protect yourself from HIV.
After the year we’ve just endured, we encourage everyone to take some time look after themselves.
We’ve spent a lot of time online this year - so it may be a good idea to reduce your screen time.
Get outside and get active.
Where possible - enjoy seeing people face-to-face.
Our venues who did it really hard are open again and we encourage you to show them some love.
The festive season can be a challenging time and this year will be the same as so many of us are still adjusting to life after lockdown.
So stay safe, be kind to yourself, and we look forward to seeing you all in 2021."
