Thorne Harbour Health invites you to an evening focused on LGBTIQ+ ageing and inclusive aged care, with a spotlight on the vital role of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) in supporting LGBTIQ+ older people.

Join us for canapés and dinner as we hear directly from LGBTIQ+ service users, volunteers, and workers about lived experiences of ageing, connection, and care. The evening hosted by drag legend Dolly Diamond will feature a welcome address from the Victorian Commissioner for LGBTIQA+ Communities, followed by a panel discussion with ACVVS volunteers and recipients exploring the impact of social support in aged care settings.
This event is an opportunity to learn more about inclusive support options for LGBTIQ+ older people, strengthen professional networks, and engage in meaningful conversations with others working across health and aged care.
All are welcome, with aged care and health professionals from any discipline especially encouraged to attend.
This is a free event, however registrations are essential as places are limited.
