Listen along as we guide you through places of queer significance such as Rose Chong Costumes, Sircuit, the 86, and more as documented by Queerways. Hear captivating stories, celebrate community, and be immersed in the historical significance of our suburbs. This isn’t your regular walk—it’s an immersive experience that connects past and present.
The walking tours will start at 5:30 PM and run for about 2-2.5 hours. They’ll be led by our fabulous local queer community member, Tex. As you explore, you'll hear captivating stories and celebrate the community's resilience, connection, and diversity, all while being immersed in the historical significance of our suburbs.
These walks are presented by Yarra Libraries and Rainbow Yarra for the Midsumma Festival. Participants are advised to bring sturdy shoes, a bottle of water, and appropriate sun protection. This is a fun, social community event, so bring a friend or make a new one on the day!
