Join us for a peer-led information session designed to foster a deeper understanding of the experiences and steps involved in a trans person’s journey. This session is open to both community members and practitioners, offering valuable insights into the different aspects of transition, including social, medical, and legal pathways.
We will explore:
- How alcohol and other drugs can interact with gender affirming hormone therapy (GAHT)
- The realities and challenges of social transition
- An overview of medical transition, including access to gender-affirming hormones in South Australia
- The tegal transition process, including name and gender marker changes
- Navigating support systems and healthcare access
Whether you are a trans or gender-diverse person seeking information, a loved one wanting to offer better support, or a practitioner aiming to improve your knowledge and practice, this session will provide essential guidance in an open, inclusive, and supportive environment.
