The Copi healing workshop is about the ritual practices around grief and loss in the Aboriginal Community. Participants work towards making a Copi (A clay head piece) that the Aboriginal artist Maree Clarke has revived from her research of traditional practices.
It will be a chance for the participants to connect with culture and to connect with each other as there are limited gatherings of the LBGTIQ+ mob. The workshop will run for 4-5 hours from 10am, and include a lunch catered by Indigenous catering company Mabu Mabu.
Places are available for 18 LGBTQI+ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to participate.
Registration via eventbrite.
