Bloomin' Fabulous! is a dazzling fashion runway event celebrating the creativity and resilience of queer communities through the language of fashion.
Showcasing works by local and interstate queer makers and designers, this event explores how botany and the symbolism of flowers have long been intertwined with queer histories, identities, and acts of defiance.
Held in collaboration with the Botanic Gardens, this year's Bloomin' Fabulous! marks a significant milestone—50 years since the decriminalisation of homosexuality in South Australia, the first Australian state to take this historic step toward equality. This anniversary invites us to reflect on the bold activism that paved the way for change.
This year’s theme, “Flower Power,” draws inspiration from the global protest movements of the 1960s and 70s, where flowers became symbols of radical love.
Expect vibrant designs, bold botanical statements, and a celebration of queer joy in full bloom!
