For over 35 years, we have run our annual World AIDS Day street appeal to raise awareness and funds on 1 December. Sadly, 2020 is the first time ever we are unable to be out on the streets reminding everyone that HIV Still Matters.
However, our new World AIDS Day app offers a virtual way for you to take part and donate this World AIDS Day. The app offers both the global red ribbon as well as the Victorian signature red ribbon. It also offers watch faces and wallpapers in a variety of World AIDS Day inspired designs.
UPDATE: We have been made aware of an issue with the app that has prevented people from making donations - if you're keen to donate to our World AIDS Day appeal, please head to: thorneharbour.org/donate and choose "World AIDS Day".
World AIDS Day app is freely available in App Store and on Google Play.

First tap on the Virtual red ribbon button on the home screen. When you are in the donate screen where you can select one ribbon out of two ribbons, please select the Thorne Harbour Ribbon before you pay. Please note that the Ribbon is saved to your photos. Therefore, please allow the World AIDS Day app to access your photos.

Yes you can. If you want to donate without a ribbon then please don’t select any ribbon when you are in the donate page.
The virtual ribbon, watch faces and wallpapers are saved in the photos of your device. Therefore, the app will display following message to get you permission to save the image:

You need to tap on “OK” to allow World AIDS Day to save the image into your photo gallery on your phone.
