Annual Events
Every year, we're involved in a whole range of community events and festivals. While the line up changes from year-to-year, here's a few where you can always find us.
Midsumma
As Melbourne's premier queer arts and cultural festival, Midsumma offers us the opportunity to engage LGBTI communities in a big way. From the opening Carnival to Pride March, we're there every step of the way. We also sponsor and host various events and exhibitions throughout the festival including our popular Hypothetical featuring a line up of media personalities, politicians, clinicians, and community leaders thrust into a fictional narrative to thrash out a range of social issues impacting our community. World AIDS Day (WAD)
Every year on December 1st, we take the opportunity to remind the broader public that HIV and AIDS are not over. Over 27,000 people in Australia are currently living with HIV. Globally, HIV and AIDS are still issues faced by millions of people. While there have been major advancements in treatment options and tools for prevention, we still have a long way to go before we see an end to HIV and AIDS worldwide. Our annual WAD activities include our red ribbon street appeal and our moving WAD memorial service at our Positive Living Centre.
Northside Bizarre
For our largest fundraiser of the year, we partner with Melbourne's LGBTI radio station JOY 94.9, and Abbotsford's iconic Laird Hotel. The one-day event has recently expanded from the confines of the Laird to become a street festival that takes over the neighbouring Collingwood Masonic Hall as well. With auctions, kinky performances, markets and even a quirky bake off, the event is quickly becoming a landmark event in the LGBTI community calendar. Click here for more info on Northside Bizarre.

ChillOut
As regional Victoria's biggest and longest-running regional queer pride event, ChillOut is a great chance for the LGBTI community to gather in Daylesford over the Victorian Labour Day weekend. In addition to hosting smaller events as part of the festival, you can always find us at Carnival Day and amongst the crowd at Bush Dance.Click here for more info on ChillOut.
